A hearing was held on Monday, June 15, in Case No. 5664 of 2025, in which Mr. Said Mansour Rizq Abdel Razek (Said Abu Mostafa) is the defendant, before the competent chamber of the Supreme State Security Criminal Court.
The defense team was present, along with representatives of several human rights organizations monitoring the case.
During today’s session, it had been scheduled for the prosecution witnesses to testify and be cross-examined by the defense, pursuant to the court’s previous order summoning them. The session was also expected to include the examination of the forensic expert regarding the technical reports submitted in the case.
However, the hearing did not include the testimony of the witnesses or the examination of the forensic expert. The court, instead, adjourned the proceedings to 6 September 2026 for the hearing of the prosecution witnesses and the forensic expert, and for their examination by the defense.

The defense emphasizes that the stage involving the examination of witnesses and experts constitutes one of the most important phases of a criminal trial, as it provides an opportunity to test the evidence presented in the case and determine the extent to which it is consistent with the facts established in the record. It also enables the accused to exercise his fundamental right to defense and to confront the evidence brought against him.
The defense team continues to take all necessary legal measures to protect the rights of the defendant and to ensure that the trial enjoys all guarantees prescribed by law and the Constitution.
