Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended, on Saturday June 20, the graduation ceremony of the third cohort of the Ministry of Endowments’ Imams Program, designated the “Hassan al-Attar Cohort,” at the Egyptian Military Academy. The ceremony was held in the Al-Safwa Hall at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that upon his arrival at the Academy, the President was received by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production; Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments; and a number of other ministers.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the Presidency’s official spokesperson, added that the President began his participation in the ceremony by unveiling a plaque marking the inauguration of Al-Safwa Hall at the Egyptian Military Academy. He then listened to a detailed presentation on the facility delivered by Major General Walid Aref, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
The ceremony included a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by an address by Major General Mohamed Saleh Al-Turki, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy. A presentation was then delivered by the head of the Academy’s Civilian Courses Department on the training program of the third cohort of the Ministry of Endowments’ Imams Program (Hassan al-Attar Cohort). A documentary film was also screened presenting the findings of the cohort’s research project, together with a summary in French, followed by a film concerning the research certification process.
According to the spokesperson, the program also featured a poem recited by the senior-most participant in the course, followed by a documentary on the course’s achievements. The graduation results were then announced, and the graduates took their graduation oath. The ceremony also included a religious hymn performed by the child Mohamed Al-Qalaji.
Minister of Endowments Dr. Osama Al-Azhari delivered a speech on the occasion, stressing the importance of preparing a new generation of preachers who are academically, physically, and nationally qualified. He praised the continued support provided by President El-Sisi for this effort, describing it as part of building a sound national character.
Mr. President El-Sisi then invited the ten highest-ranking graduates to the stage to congratulate them personally. He also directed that consideration be given to continuing their academic training through postgraduate studies, including the possibility of sending them on educational missions abroad. The ceremony concluded with the playing of the national anthem.
The spokesperson further noted that before departing, the President toured several facilities at the venue, including the main dining hall and the VIP lounge in Al-Safwa Hall at the Egyptian Military Academy.
