The so-called “Alliance Supporting Legitimacy” (of former Egyptian president Morsi), which is connected to the terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, has vowed to spark anew riots, protests, and likely terrorism in Egypt, on August 14, the date which marks when the Brotherhood’s “sit in” camps were emptied by the military, following the June 30 revolution.

The group is also using the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas as a pretext to further stoke anger at the Egyptian government, which many Islamists are criticizing for not coming to the aid of Hamas, or as they articulate it, “the suffering Palestinian people.”

Among other things, the “Alliance” will also use as a pretext to foment unrest Egypt’s current economic situation and any other matters to present as grievances.

In short, and as the Alliance Supporting Legitimacy announced in its statement, “If Jerusalem is occupied, so too is Cairo occupied, and the occupying enemy is one and the same. The difference is that the Jewish Zionists who occupy Jerusalem do not claim to be Muslims. Thus the liberation of Jerusalem starts with the liberation of Cairo.”

In this, the Alliance and the Brotherhood make clear that they share the same vision of the Islamic State, formerly “ISIS,” which also recently declared that it would not fight Jerusalem until it first subjugates Muslims back to “true Islam.”
