On Tuesday December 23, Dr. Hazem al-Bablawi, Egypt’s prime minister, declared the Muslim Brotherhood to be a “terrorist organization.” This came after a car bomb attack on a police building that killed over a dozen people.

State news agency MENA quoted Sherif Showqi, the information advisor, saying “Prime Minister Bablawi has declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization,” adding that “such terrorist acts by the Brotherhood will not deter us from moving forward with our roadmap.”

Meanwhile, Egyptians who had rallied around the assaulted building began to chant in unison calling for the execution of the Muslim Brotherhood due to the organization’s repeated terrorist attacks.
