With deep sorrow, we mourn Dr. Yacoub Samaan, who departed on Saturday, August 12. He was member of Coptic Solidarity Executive Committee, and Treasurer for four years starting June 2015.
We pray for the heavenly peace of Dr. Samaan’s blessed soul, and extend our sincere condolences to his family.
The departed, Dr. Samaan was the beloved husband of Mrs. Lydia Samaan and father of Mrs. Monica Saad, Mina Samaan and Mark Samaan, and father in-law of Peter Saad, Trivina Samaan and Christine Samaan. Also the grandfather of Rebecca, Noah and Isiah Saad, Mary Grace, Gregory Samaan, and Josiah Samaan, and brother of Mr. Kamel Samaan & Dr. Nashed Samaan.
The Funeral Prayers will be held on Friday, August 18, at 11:30 am at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, in Fairfax, VA.
The funeral will be followed by the Internment Service, at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906.
