It was reported that 15-year-old girl, Veronica Shehata Beshai Khalil, who was “missing” since March 6, has been located by the security services. She’s said to be in a police station in order “to complete the procedures for handing her over to her family.”
The incident of the disappearance dates back to Sunday, March 6, when the girl, who is a third year middle school student, from the Muharram Bek area, Alexandria Governorate, was going to a lesson and did not return to her home.
The surveillance cameras showed that she entered the educational center “Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed Center” in Paulino, Muharram Bek, but did not leave..
Veronica’s family engaged in searching for, and published her photos and pleas on social media, for anyone who finds her or knows any information about her to communicate with her family.
Alarmingly, messages were received threatening her family not to search for her, and that she would never return again.
The security forces in Alexandria intensified their efforts to search for the girl, until investigations reached her whereabouts in another the governorate. She is reported to be in a police station but no word yet about handing her over to her family.
