Security forces arrested Gasser Abdel Razek, the executive director of the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, from his home in Maadi on Thursday, according to the group. He is the third EIPR member to be arrested in the last few days.
After a four hour interrogation, the State Security Prosecution ordered Karim Ennarah, the director of the criminal justice unit for the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, to be held for 15 days in remand detention in Case 855/2020, according to the group.
