A “security source” told Amaq that “the attack targeted Christians within their homes and resulted in 39 deaths.” The source added that a similar attack took place weeks ago in Komanda. The referenced attack, which occurred on July 27, targeted Christian worshippers at a church in Komanda, located in the Irumu Territory of the DRC’s Ituri Province. ISCAP fighters reportedly killed 45 Christians during the attack.
