President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with the Ministry of Awqaf preachers who hold doctoral degrees and who will be joining the Egyptian Military Academy for a two-year scientific program, in the presence of Dr. Osama al-Azharī, Minister of Awqaf.

This took place during the aptitude and physical evaluation exams for applicants to the Egyptian Military Academy and the various military colleges at the Academy’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, which were attended by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed al-Shennawy, stated that President al-Sisi emphasized that the number of study hours these participants will undertake during the program (10–12 hours per day) exceeds the number of hours typically required for obtaining a PhD. As such, those who complete this program will qualify for a high academic degree that surpasses the doctoral level.

He added that the objective of this program is to achieve genuine enlightenment, to prepare divinely-guided, enlightened scholars who will be of benefit to their country, to confront backwardness, extremism, and triviality, and to expand understanding while building a comprehensive intellectual framework distinct from all previous ones.
